Long & McQuade Limited began in 1956 when Jack Long became a dealer for King Band Instruments. He set up a small store on Carlton Street in Toronto on the second floor of an old house which had been divided into music studios, and taught trumpet lessons on the side. About six months later he acquired a partner, Jack McQuade, who was teaching drum lessons in one of the young company’s two small studios.
The original storefront was opened the following year on Yonge Street at Yorkville Avenue. Long & McQuade now has 56 locations all across Canada.
The Muhtadi International Drumming Festival team is excited and pumped for the opportunity to work with G98.7 FM. Activities will include on-air with; live liners, announcer ad-libs and commercials, online on G98.7’s contest page at www.g987fm.com and G98.7’s social media accounts. It’s a great opportunity to align two distinctly unique and growing ventures that bring music and people together in Toronto.

Good day,
I am putting together a Drum Festival in my country to preserve drumming as an art form, showcase drumming culture of Africa to the world and re-enact the essence of it to this generation and the next generation to come.
My project is under going copyright and trademark before we can outline dates fro the activities to compliment drumming.
I am hoping that to have a reply and invite you with few drummers from your country to mine to showcase what you can do.
Thank you very much.
